April Welcome to Aprils page here you will find all the RNLI stations I visited in April, there are a lot of pictures on this page so it might take a while to upload. Where possible I always try to get the bike and trailer in the picture to prove I was there but there are times when it is not possible, or it due to the distance the picture was taken this might make it hard to see, more pictures are always on the forum though. Swanage, my starting point on 8-04-06 Poole Mudeford Lymington, they were under a rather major building project as you can see below Calshot
Isle of Wight RNLI Bembridge
Back to the main land Hayling Island Selsey Littlehampton Shoreham Brighton Newhaven Eastbourne Diary update Well! 2 Days of further than expected travel. Both due to Campsites I had been to before for free, either trying to charge me a fortune or no longer taking tents! Thought I had transmission failure in Bexhill today, but turned out to be a small stone wedged in rear sprocket making chain jump! That's NEVER happened before! Made good use of cycle route 2 both days! Hastings Rye Habour Dungerness Littlestone-on-sea Dover Diary update Well, it didn't happen once on the last trip.- Getting a long way down a cycle route to find barriers that I couldn't get through! Route 2 took me down into Dover, down & down, then stopped me short! There was NO way I was going back up THAT hill! So I had to dismantle the trailer, take most of the stuff out of the roofbox & carry each bit through separately! 200 yards later I had to do it all AGAIN in order to cross a bridge over a dual carriageway!!! Not a happy bunny. At least the nice people at Dover Lifeboat Station let me email the pics I'd taken of all the Stations since Hayling. No wonder I didn't get far that day! Haven't had any more rain, thankfully! Now at Whitstable, good old Primrose Cottage Caravan Park. Brian here is a real trooper, he couldn't be more helpful! Cheers Brian! Walmer Ramsgate Margate Whitstable Sheerness, due to safety concerns as they were doing some major road works on the Sheerness Bridge it was decided to call in some help from a friend of mine to give myself and all the kit a lift to the Sheerness Station so it was all packed on to a pick up and transported over. It was unavoidable and was felt that it was far better for me to get to the station safely than possibley get injured trying to get there. Sheerness RNLI From here I went into London.
